Product Description Head into the outback with The Big Agnes Big House 4 Tent. This 4-person tent makes a great family backpacking shelter or car camping setup from early spring through late fall. The Bighouse 4 give you enough room for two adults and three little kids, yet this tent is light enough to haul into the backcountry when split between two adults. Pitching the Big House 4 Tent is a breeze thanks to a color-coded pole system and a clip and sleeve design. When the weather turns nasty, throw on the waterproof, rip-stop fly and huddle your crew inside this fully seam-sealed Big Agnes tent.
Bottom Line: Spend a few nights in the Big Agnes Big House with the family.
Owner Reviews I have used this tent twice, just last weekend on a overnight trip in the Adirondacks. It is very simple to pitch, and construction is very high quality. The weight can be off-set by sharing the load. A drawback is no fly vestibule, but you have so much extra room for gear inside the tent. You cannot, however, cook inside with foul weather. Another minor draw back is the carrying case, which is useless for backpacking. I have solved this by purchasing suitably sized stuff sacks for strapping to the outside of your pack. The tent is unbelievable for two, and plenty roomy for 3. It would be tight for 4, but that seems to be the same with any 4-person rated tent. The 5' 8" height means that tall campers can stand up. I am 6' 2", and for me, the extra weight is a good trade off for the luxury of superior space.
