Owner Comments & Criticism
I've been playing for over 20 years and usually get the newest most powerful racquet once I'm in the market for one. I've always been an Ektelon fan and was on the fence between the EForce Heatseeker 2.0 and the Ektelon EXO3 RG Toron. I've always liked Ektelon for their balance, control and power. It so happens I broke my Ektelon EXO3 black two days before a tournament on Black Friday so a demo was out of the question. I went ahead and orderd the EForce for their power rating alone. I've played with it now for 4 sessions and here is my Pros and Cons: Pros: 1. Extremely powerful. I can flick shots that look like I took a full swing. 2. Richter tubes dampen any vibration. I no longer need a dampener. 3. Bumper is oversized and provides a lot of protection when I hit a wall. 4. Balanced 50/50. Not head or handle heavy. Cons: 1. Feels like a paddle when I hit a ball. I'm used to Ektelon with a slightly cushioned feel. You lose a bit of control from the back court. Tires out my arm from the added shock. 2. Feels heavier than the 170. Compared it to my Ektelon and it just feels that way. I haven't actually weighed them. 3. Sweet spot is extremely small. The stringing guides extend from the sides and effectively shrinks the sweet spot to roughly 6x6. Great when you hit it on that spot, not so much in the case of a miss-hit. The racquet is a quality item and can increase your power over other racquets in this range. I'm able to return kills that I was never able to just from the added power, but I can't lock in my back court kills with any consistency. Also my ceiling shots require a lot more focus to get the same consistency I used to get with my Ektelon.Read more ›
